 Approved: 10/14/2009
Revised:  2/9/2010

Revised: 3/15/2011

2010-11 procedure: Due to staff changes this year Supplemental Students procedures must also be updated.

-Students must complete an enrollment application and note OLL status
-Family is sent enrollment forms, OLL- Notification Letter (with details about how OLL works)

- Dean of Students contacts student about which class(es) they are requesting

- Dean of students completes the “OLL notice of registration form” and sends to student to complete with the enrolling district counselor

-Dean of students receives completed OLL form and connects Learning manager with student

-If the Learning Manager of the primary course has student space they are placed with that LM

- If the Learning Manager is full, another class may be offered or the student may wait to enroll in a future term

- One OLL student counts as .5 student; therefore two OLL student s would “create” 1 student in the load of 26 students

-OLL students are on the same term dates as full time students ; even if their enrolling district term dates are different

- The Learning Manager does an IGP and starts the student in Orientation and class(es) as noted on OLL form

- The Learning Manager updates the OLL students grades and logs

- The Learning Manager updates the student/family and enrolling school counselor of weekly progress and midterms

- Clerical staff enrolls student as OLL student and posts classes in student management system

- The Learning Manager post grades and completes end of term paperwork

- Dean of students sends final grades to enrolling school and student/family home

-Dean of students withdraws student or connects them with a new OLL notice of registration form for the next term

-Dean of students maintains student file and course list/grades

- Admin staff completes OLL file for MDE to receive funding

2009-10 procedure
:  This year, one person has coordinated the supplemental student services which has allowed us to streamline tasks, to coordinate students, and to provide consistent customer service to schools without taxing the Dean of Students.   Limit OLL students based on the number of courses enrolled in.  The limitation would then move to a student load number for the supplemental student LM of 15 FTE students based on 3 courses per 1 FTE(Currently, we have students enrolled in 32 courses.  This would translate into 10.666 students at the moment.)

2008- 09 procedure: limit supplemental student numbers to 15% of the total enrollment at Wolf Creek . Each student counts as .5 toward a Learning Manager student load.
